The Aston Martin DB5 was the third and last Aston Martin offered by Solido. Launched under the reference 130, the DB5 saved the “Weekend 1” box set project by replacing, at short notice, the Alfa Romeo 2600, whose mould had gone abroad. The Aston Martin was produced with many color variants, as well as many body color / interior color combinations.
Of course, the Aston Martin DB5 is best known for its use by Agent 007, a small nod to the English car that has appeared in 7 James Bond movies! The DB5 is the result of the passion of Aston Martin owner, David Brown (who gave his initials to Aston Martin models, DB1, 2, 3, 4, 5 …), to offer these vehicles to a larger number of potential customers. It was this desire to develop the brand that drove David Brown to seal the partnership with the producers of James Bond for the Goldfinger movie, serving as a great advertising showcase!
